Executive Job Search: Where are the jobs?
Where are the jobs?
That is my topic today.
It is time to push away from the computer. LESS than 5% people are currently landing their next job from jobs posted on line.
The bulk of the jobs are being found through networking and in the hidden job market.
When you take the time to go to the library, and go the extra mile with some good old fashion research, you have suddenly started to increase the odds more in your favor.
Think about it, it there is a herd of people that keep applying to the same jobs and your resume is one of those that have been submitted, what good do you think your odds are?
You also need to then factor in that at least half the jobs are bogus jobs from employers that are pretending to hire to look good to their competitors, and the other group are the recruiters that also do not have positions, but want to fill their data bases with your resume.
The bottom line is as a savvy executive, you know as a business person, that one of the ways your organizations succeeds, is by differentiate yourself from your competitors. The same applies to your executive job search.
Here is a great idea for you, download this document of trade associations that I want you to have to help with your executive job search.
Use this list this week for networking and uncovering some hidden jobs. Get away from the herd, and create your own path.
Look for aligned industries on the list that you can possibly expand your executive job search to.
Below is a gift from me to you of a great list or trade associations that will act as another great source for you to tap into.

The market continues to slowly turn.
Hang in there. I believe in you!
